It would be very easy for Danish furniture producer Fritz Hansen to sit back – pun intended – and enjoy the profits from producing Arne Jacobsen’s ageless designs.
Fortunately they don’t. They continue innovating.
Among their more recent developments is the chair NAP by Kasper Salto.
The name is derived from Normal-Active-Passive and reinforces that the chair was designed and created with the aim of supporting the user in a range of siting positions.
Sitting being an active process that most of us spend several hours a day practising and so for which a thoughtful and intelligently design solution is required.
