PAL LED Lamp by Maria Pitallano

There are, in all probability, very few products on the market that have been inspired by giraffes.

We certainly can’t think of any.

And so congratulations to California College of the Arts student Maria Pitallano for not only creating a wonderful new lighting product; but much more for opening a whole new category in design lexicons.

The PAL LED Lamp is nothing more than portable lamp with its own side table. Yet just as Nils Holger Moormann’s Liesmichl is nothing more than side table with well considered book storage space – that’s the whole point AND that’s what makes it so special.

The PAL LED Lamp is cordless, a single charge provides light for 12 hours and the light head swivels meaning that it can truly be used anywhere.

Even outdoors should you wish to spend longer of a summer evening ou of doors reading/writing/playing cars/whatever.

And with the in-built side table you always have somewhere for your tea/beer/gin and juice/whatever.

We adore it.

It is however and student piece and so of course doesn’t actually exist. Yet.  For we can’t believe for a minute that there isn’t a producer out there who doesn’t needs such an effortlessly wonderful and insanely practical product as the PAL LED Lamp in their range
