Monday morning and glad tidings await us from designspotter.
Y Shift Chair by Louie Rigano apparently “plays with the idea of an aesthetic weight shift.”
Which is all good and cheerful, but ignores the fact that the chair looks delightful, is a wonderful play on some of the classics of early 20th century furniture design and for all ignores the fact that Shift Chair is probably the better product.
With the solid plastic back support Shift not only looks delightful and is a wonderful play on some of the classics of early 20th century furniture design; it also does away with many of the cumbersome and troublesome elements of modern furniture design.
Which we think is fantastic.
Oh and of course it “plays with the idea of an aesthetic weight shift.”
