Shell by Ubald Klug for Rothlisberger

Following on from our loftlife post a couple of days ago, it’s back to plywood today.

Resembling much of Joe Colombos concept pieces, the wonder of Ubald Klug’s Shell cupboard for Swiss producer Rothlisberger is the innovative construction process. And the effect that produces.

A series of cuts in the wood allow not only the wood to be shaped to perfection, but also allow light through, light which creates a wonderful warming glow in the interior.
And added to that is the simple fact that the Shell looks fantastic.

We can’t confirm that it also fulfills its intended function, but if it does, then got get one…
