Binary Coffee Table by Centrifuge Design

A friend of ours recently announced that when it comes to furniture all she wants is few bits of bent metal and some leather straps.

We hasten to add the good lady is a Bauhaus freak and not a S&M freak. At least as far as we know.

The wonderful Binary Coffee Table will almost certainly appear to her – even if there is no leather involved.

The table top is a sandwich of Baltic birch ply between two sheets of matte white FormicaColourcore™ laminate; but what we particularly like is the “in-built” tray. Far too often table space is lost because of storage receptacles, here the receptacle is the table which not only saves space but also adds a wonderful colour contrast to the piece.

And with its Bauhausesque shaped tubular steel frame the complete package is something that will pass in almost any setting.

Lovely.
