After a lovely relaxing weekend, we start with a chair that has been doing the “rounds” at the moment Zipit by Viktor Matic.
Croatian born Matic is a student at the Free University of Bolzano-Bozen, Italy and with his Zipit set out to create a unique and low-cost chair that could “be easily built up and disassembled”
Matic’s solution is simple plastic ties which are sued to hold the structure together. The designer sees the main market among student as well as a single household or a family and their kids/teenagers. But we think any one looking for simple, stable, stowable furniture for home or work could do worse than investigating Zipit.
